Submersible motors

With nominal powers from 0.5hp up to 260hp, F.B. Srl offers:

6” to 10” rewindable water- lled motors
4” rewindable oil-filled motors
4” resin-coated water-filled motors

The motors are generously dimensioned and high- ef ciency to ensure that the pumps have a long service life with exceptionally simple maintenance. All technical details, such as the lengths of the rotors and wound stators, dimensions, winding types, guides in the upper and lower mounts, mechanical seals and the special thrust bearing (the real heart of these motors) have been conceived and developed speci cally for constructing submersible motors that must provide good performance in any operating conditions.

Rehearsal room

Submersible motors’ torque test bench up to 220KW with the possibility of changing the tension up to 1000V., frequency to 60Hz and check of cooling flow.

Strenghts

Sand Protection
The sand-guard and silicon carbide-silicon SIC-SIC mechanical seal protect against sand during operation.

Fusion
The Upper support, the lower support and the base, are made of cast iron highly resistant to corrosion due to cataphoresis treatment.

Stator
Our stators are made of AISI 304 (included the ange). Also they are longer than the market standard and with a hand-made rewindable winding.

Rotor
Our rotors are made of AISI 420B. They have a recti ed and balanced shaft with a diameter greater than the market standard.

Thrust Bearing
“Michell” bi-directional thrust bearing with treated stainless steel thrust sliding in AISI 420 and thrust disk of a resin and graphite compound. They support an axial load up to 4 times the motor ones, even with an ambient temperature of 90°C.
