In the lifecycle of a water supply system for agricultural use, the energy consumption linked to pumping represents the most significant cost item, accounting for up to 90% of total operating expenses. Replacing an outdated pump with a model designed to maximize efficiency can reduce consumption by up to 20%, turning a fixed cost into a real economic advantage. In a context where every kilowatt-hour saved translates into greater sustainability and competitiveness, the experience of a farm in Southern Italy confirms how the choice of high-performance electric pumps can turn a technical investment into a concrete economic gain.
The electric pump at the center of this story is the FB8SX75, a flagship product of the FB8SX series, entirely made of precision-cast stainless steel. This material guarantees strength, durability, and high performance even under demanding operating conditions. The FB8SX75 is designed to handle flow rates of up to 1,400 liters per minute and heads up to 670 meters, with a maximum power of 92 kW.
From an energy perspective, this electric pump was able to reduce consumption by about 13.5 kW compared to previous solutions, thanks to one of the highest energy efficiency levels in the sector (over 80%). This results in direct savings on the electricity bill.

The solution suggested by Vincenzo Libraro from our sales team allowed the farm to switch to FB technology, which cut energy consumption. Before installing the FB8SX75, the annual energy bill was around €72,000. With the new electric pump, the customer saved approximately €14,000, equal to a reduction of about 20%.
This saving ensured a very fast return on investment, a key point for those working in sectors where fixed costs are high and financial management must be careful and precise. In addition to energy savings, the FB8SX75 series guarantees a consistent and high-performance service, without the need for costly maintenance. An aspect that makes a huge difference.

Energy saving is not a utopia: it is a concrete reality with FB solutions. For those who want to improve efficiency, reduce costs, and invest in reliable, high-performance products, FB will be at Agrilevante Bari from October 9 to 12, 2025 (Stand C2 – Pavilion 19).
An unmissable opportunity to experience FB quality and technology firsthand and speak directly with our team.
